ABOUT CHRISTIAN BAPTIST CHURCH

Christian Baptist Church is a Bible-believing church family in the heart of Newmarket. Since 1822, CBC has gathered on Main Street to worship Jesus, open God’s Word, pray, and serve our neighbours.

We are not a perfect church, but we are a church family seeking to follow a perfect Saviour. Some of us have followed Jesus for many years. Some are newer to faith. Some are still asking honest questions. Wherever you are, we’d be glad to welcome you.

At CBC, we believe the church is more than a Sunday service. We gather to worship, but we also seek to encourage one another, care for one another, grow in faith, and serve the people God has placed around us on Main Street and beyond.

Our church family includes people from different ages, backgrounds, and stages of life. What holds us together is not that we're all the same, but that we're learning to follow Jesus together.

Our desire is simple: to love God and love people so that one more might know and experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

That shapes our worship, our preaching, our prayers, our service, and our life together as a church family. We want to be faithful to God’s Word, dependent on the Holy Spirit, and present on Main Street as witnesses to the hope we've found in Jesus Christ.
